It infuriates me that I can't find a way to hug this post. Or shake hands with the two introspective men who joined forces to write it. In the absence of hugging, fist bumping, or workplace-(in)appropriate shoulder squeezing, I will share it and hope it brings you both more attention.

Well corresponded. Cheers! 🍻🥂

Thanks for starting up what I have no doubt will be a continuous exchange. Part of what’s so cool about writing letters like this is we inevitably become more comfortable with each other and so more candid at the same time

"First, I always have my wife — who’s significantly smarter and savvier than me — read any risqué or potentially inflammatory pieces in advance. If she has any reservations, I’ll ask close friends or colleagues to review as well."

Despite reading these letters, I remain unconvinced that Amran is not a form of a chatbot.

Having been in his physical presence at a party at my home, I can reasonably imagine that he is a cyborg with a chatbot installed. This appears to have been solely done to care for two children (future cyborgs?).

I think Apple has plans to implant our iPhones into us and thereby make us all cyborgs. So maybe Amran is just the prototype.

For more on cyborgs see Donna Haraway.
